Clan MacAulay expands in Canada

Clan MacAulay announces a very exciting development with the appointment of Joan McAulay of Saskatoon as Clan Commissioner for Western Canada.

Joan was born and brought up in Saskatchewan. Her ancestors originating from the Western Isles.
Married to Doug Doughty she works as a consultant with a major financial company and lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Apart from her involvement with Clan MacAulay she is involved in various voluntary activities including having served as a District Governor of Toastmasters for Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Joan attended the recent Clan MacAulay International Gathering held in Crieff, Scotland and is preparing to attend the Bannockburn celebrations next year.

Speaking after her appointment she said “ It is a high honour to have been invested as Clan
Commissioner for Western Canada. I am looking forward to promoting the clan and working closely with Canada’s other Clan Commissioner Dr Bud Lush.”

Clan Chief Hector MacAulay said “ We are fortunate to have someone as enthusiastic as Joan to
represent Clan MacAulay in Western Canada and I look forward to working with her in the years
ahead. Her appointment is another step forward in expanding Clan MacAulay in Canada.”
