As a result he decided to attend the MacAulay gathering at the Homecoming in Edinburgh 2009 and through his enthusiasm and willingness to help he is the organiser for the 2011 gathering in Carnlough, Northern Ireland.
The picture above was taken in MacAulay Road, Stornoway in 2010 and shows MacAulay on the roadsign both in Gaelic and English.
